Day 9 – Treadmill intervals


I decided last night that after a day of restful running I would be up for a more challenging workout – TREADMILL INTERVALS.

January 9 – Day 9/31

Location: Treadmill at Inside Out Gym

Weather notes: N/A

Distance: 4 miles (3 miles running)

Time: 40 minutes

Pace: 10:00

Other notes: I started with a 6.0 pace and increased by .5 mph each lap for the first four laps.  Then I alternated one lap (400m) running with half a lap (200m) walking.  My running laps looked like this:

  • 8.0
  • 8.5
  • 9.0
  • 8.5
  • 8.0
  • 8.0
  • 8.0
  • 7.5
Let me just say that 9.0 is no joke.  After one of those 9.0 laps I feel like I could run away from a cheetah….
